HR HEAVY RIGID TRUCK LICENCE

[sc name=”hr_heavy_rigid”] vehicle truck licence is the highest class of truck licence you can obtain from from a class C or [sc name=”lr_light_rigid”] licence. You must hold a minimum of second year of green P’s class C licence or higher to obtain this licence.

THE COURSE

THIS COURSE CAN BE CONDUCTED IN A VEHICLE SUPPLIED BY THE APPLICANT.

Designed for drivers who wish to upgrade from either a class C, [sc name=”lr_light_rigid”] Licence or [sc name=”mr_medium_rigid”] class licence. Participants develop the necessary skills, knowledge and attitude to obtain a [sc name=”hr_heavy_rigid”] heavy vehicle truck licence with a constant mesh (Road Ranger) or automatic transmission, through competency based assessment (CBA) with experienced trainers accredited by the [sc name=”RMS”].

RMS Requirements

Participants must hold a mimimum of second year of green P's class C [sc name="lr_light_rigid"] licence, or [sc name="mr_medium_rigid"] licence to be eligible for the [sc name="hr_heavy_rigid"] licence.
Be proficient in the use of an automatic or manual transmission.
Participants must have completed the [sc name="hr_heavy_rigid"] knowledge test and obtained a CBA learner logbook and guide book.
The CBA guide book must have been read before starting the course.
A person who holds a provisional P1 licence is not eligible for a [sc name="HR - Heavy Rigid"] licence.

Upgrading from a P2 licence

Provisional P2 licence holders who also hold a Class [sc name=”lr_light_rigid”], [sc name=”mr_medium_rigid”] or [sc name=”hr_heavy_rigid”] heavy vehicle truck licence will remain a provisional licence holder until they have held the P2 licence for a minimum of 2 years. There is no variation to this rule and an unrestricted licence will not be issued until the applicant complies with the requirements of the Graduated Licensing Scheme.

Assessment

This is a NSW [sc name=”RMS”] approved heavy vehicle truck licence course. Drivers will be trained and assessed against the [sc name=”RMS”] competency standards by our [sc name=”RMS”] accredited assessors. After the required standard of competency has been achieved the [sc name=”RMS”] will issue the appropriate licence.

Duration of course

The competency based assessment runs for a minimum of 5 hours for automatic and synchromesh gearbox and 6 hours for constant mesh (Road Ranger) gearbox as per [sc name=”RMS”] requirements. Most trainees will complete the training in approximately 8 – 15 hours, depending on prior experience and how well the trainee applies the set requirements.

CANCELLATION POLICY All booking fees are non refundable if cancellation has not been received 4 days before commencement of course date.
2 Day Course - No refunds will be given if day 2 attendance is missed. A new booking and payment will be required to complete the course.
